Roussel: Alright, so where did u get the idea of starting up a skiboard clothes company?
JWhite: I'm just all for supporting the industry, but I realised that our selection is limited, not to mention, what better way is there to help out, and bring skiboarding to the top!
Roussel: Nice, so how'd you think up the name?
JWhite: Well Ben Wan and me were chating one day and got into the convo of the company, started tosing names around and came up with anubis, not to mention seriosly what better figure is there to represnt skiboarding, one of the rulers of the underworld (i'm pretty sure ben suggested the name.)
Roussel: Very true, so have you talked to any stores to get your stuff on the shelves?
JWhite: Yeh man, I talked to Greco quickly (skiboardsonline.com) just threw some ideas at him, real brief convo, but i'll get back into talking to him about it soon.
I'm gonna get the stuff out there and then see whats up.
Roussel: Coo, so what can we expect from Anubis?
JWhite: The whole concept is respect man, respect for the riders, its all about clawin our way to the top, showing people who should really be on top.
Roussel: So can we expect to see Anubis sponsering riders and events next year?
JWhite: Any money coming from this is gonna go right back into the sport, I've talked to one indivdual so far and got an ok (awsome rider), i'm going to throw a team to gether and also throw in some prizes for some comps.
Roussel: Shout outs? Last words?
JWhite: Yeh like to say a huge thanx to Ben Wan from BENT FILMS, Greco from skiboardsonline.com for setting up a place for me to stay in Tremblant and Mike Wass for setting up a ride, and then me forgeting what weekend it was and not going.(sorry about that guys.) R.C, N.L, K.D for all the support, and of course any rider who is giving there time blood and sweat for the sport, oh yeh and SBMAG!
Oh yeh and to Courtney from GST who is doing a great job and is helping the industry huge!
No word yet on when you can get Anubis stuff, but we'll keep you posted!
