Future of Skiboarding, part ???

Sadly, I must confess, I'm not one of the most frequent visitors to this message board..
As a matter of fact I'm not a frequent visitor anywhere, but when I do visit, I do visit the www.getboards.com/boardtalk..
And evrytime I visit, there's some other punk throwin shit at us skiboarders.. And we keep defending ourselves.. Which is natural..
Only question is.. Why..
I can't come up with a good reason why we should have to defend ourselves against others..
Why should we have to speek up against "freeskiers" or participants of other activities?
They obviously don't know what's going on, right?
"They" obviously haven't detected the fun of our sport..
But they're "afraid"..
Everytime an "alien" visits our messageboard, he throws shit.. Why is that?
Consider it!
If we, the skiboarders were "nothing to be afraid of" no one would ever bother..
But the thing is.. We're winning ground..
We're makin' a statement in what we do..
Pretty much scilent, but still..
We're in there, and we're being noticed..
As long as external sources find our msg.board attractive enough for them to diss on, we, -the skiboarders- stand as a unity..
A unity stronger than the ones who constantly pass shite around..
Just think about it next time a dumb@$$ throws bull..
The reason why he/she does so, is because you've been noticed..
I got lots of snowboarding friends, and "one on one", I estimate they all have asked to try my boards out..
In a group they all joke about, but they totally know what's up..
For example..
Last winter, we built a gap, some snowboard-friends and I, oddly all the snowboard fellas backed out when it came to jump it..
Now I went for it, simply beacause i love the feeling of "flying" and even though I came a little short, I managed to ride off the first time.
Both feet on the snow..
All I could hear from the others was: "You're sick, man.." and so on..
My adrenaline was pumping so hard, I just had to go up there and do it again..
Most the snowboarders just sled down on the side..
Eventually, two other people attempted it..
A Telemark skier, and the "leader" of the Snowoard guys..
Noone tried it after that..
Since then, I was kinda known as the "sick dude", which I don't really think fits, but evrybody else semms content about it..
Point is..
They still throw remarks about my "kid-size skis", but when it comes to push limits, they always come to me first..
They know that I'm more than equal to them, and they all like to hang out..
Guess the morale here is (to keep it in a "full house" sense :)..
Ignore the phuxx who spreads crap. do your thing, and soon you'll notice that you get some good ol' fashioned respect.
We got nothing to defend in words.
Let's not stoop to the level of the ruff-mouthed wannabees who think they can bring us down by givin us piss verbally, or written in a mesageboard like this.
Just go ride!
No one can diss on that.
He who laughs last, laughs best.. Remember that!!
