Skiboarding in September?
By: Jon
Sure, why not? The place to watch for is a small hole in the wall ski area called Silverton, Colorado. Last season they got dumped on in early September and were making first tracks for the season on the 18th of September. According to the history of the area they should be expecting the same effect year after year. So if you are eagerly awaiting the dumping of the first white stuff then you may want to keep your eyes focused in on the 3000 vertical that is known as Silverton. They do not even have snowmaking capabilities but they do have the right mix of weather to deliver. Imagine being able to kick it in waste deep powder even before you get your new gear, that's right, there must be a god.
