July: Courtney Celley
Roussel: So what are you up to in the off season?
Courtney: Um not a lot really.. For the most part it's pretty boring. I'm probably gonna be working on GST alot and doing a little inline skating. But for the most part just working on GST.
Roussel: Ok, so how do you feel about being the first female ROTM?
Courtney: Its cool I guess.
Roussel: Haha, alright alright. So what do you have planned for GST in the future?
Courtney: Well hopefully we will keep growing and progressing. Maybe hit up some comps this season and get to ride together eventually.
Roussel: Awesome. Tell us about the boycott on Line, some of people seem to disagree with it, what's your argument?
Courtney: Well the way i see it is just that Line isn't supporting our sport anymore so why should we support them? They are now making lower quality boards and don't sponsor any skiboarders or skiboarding events anymore. They are mainly making skis now, there's only 2 different models of skiboards this year and next year too. I just think they need to think back about how they got started. Without skiboards they would never be where they are now.
Roussel: Very true. What are you goals as a rider for next season?
Courtney: I'm planning on hitting more rails now that I got my Weapons and just going bigger over all on my tricks and jumps. Me and my crew will probably be doing more filming and getting some better pics too. Hopefully I can get the stuff to upload my videos on the net for you guys to see...
Roussel: Last words? Shout outs?
Courtney: Yeah
I'd like to thank everyone who is still supporting skiboarding: SBOL and Skiboards.com
for still holding on to the sport and still the boards. Ben from BentFilms for
going around and getting people together to ride and film, Sean for helping
me out with the team, Dysfunctional Web for their support, all the GST riders
for making this all be possible, the skiboard companies who are still making
great boards, T2T for their support and everyone whos starting up a site and
just having fun riding. Oh yeah and Johnny W. from Anubis keep the skiboarding
clothing industry alive.
